Charity auction in Aid of the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust – Information on embryos, AI straws and other lots
Cork Limousin Club are hosting a charity auction in Aid of the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust in the Abbey Hotel, Ballyvourney on the evening of Saturday February 15.
Popular members of Cork Limousin club, Anthony Kelleher and his wife Bernie, lost their son Timothy tragically a few months ago while Tim was on holiday in Spain. Together with the Kelleher Family the Cork Limousin Club are hosting a charity auction event in Tim’s memory. All proceeds will go to the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust who were of great assistance to the Kelleher’s during the repatriation of Tim’s body. In fact the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust is an amazing charity. It has provided assistance to a staggering number of Irish families since it was established in 2010 by Colin Bell, Kevin Bells father.

Gladys is one of the herd’s top flushing cows. She was purchased in France at the dispersal of the highly regarded Broussad herd. She is a big powerful milky cow and the mating with Aultside Hulk (purchased in Carlisle in 2014 for 55k gns) is sure to produce something special. Full sibling to Roundhill LAngel 1700 who was National All Ireland Limousin Heifer born on/between 1/9/16 and 31/10/16, Junior Female Champion and Reserve Overall Female Champion at the Limousin National show in Tullamore 2017. Roundhill Langel 1700 is a daughter of Netherhall Jackpot out of the imported Netherhall Galaxy. The embryo is stored with Richard Duff, Champion Embryos.

Roundhill Temair by the famous French bull Domino and was the top cow in Pat O’Neill’s Pheonix herd. With the mating of Wilodge Cerberus has the potential to produce a star. The embryo is stored with Richard Duff, Champion Embryos.

Newtown Fruity, dam of the embryos, is a Wilodge Vantastic daughter out of the highly prolific brood cow Newtown Trixie. Fruity was a Red ticket winner at the Limousin National Show at Tullamore 2011 before going on to sell at the Irish Limousin cattle society’s March
Premier sale in 2012 for the princely sum of €12,000 gns!! This offering provides a unique opportunity to buy into the renowned Newtown Trixie bloodline. The embryos are sired by Fieldson Alfy who himself needs no introduction. The embryos are stored with Richard Duff, Champion Embryos.

She boasts a very impressive show record culminating in the title of Reserve Junior Limousin Champion at the National Show in Tullamore in 2012. One Purebred Limousin Embryo kindly donated by Mr and Mrs John Moloney, Cillcon Limousins:
Cillcon Hansome Lady x Trueman Jagger. Cillcon Hansome Lady, dam of the embryo, is sired by Wilodge Vantastic and out of the French imported Etole who has been a prolific breeder of prize winning show cattle for the Ardnacrusha and Cillcon pedigree herds. Among them is the highly acclaimed Ardnacrusha Hilarious ET, who is full sister to Cillcon Handsome dam of the embryo on offer. The sire of the embryo is the record priced Trueman Jagger who sold at Carlisle 2015 for a staggering £147,000 having earlier in the year been crowned Limousin Male Champion and Reserve Overall Limousin Champion at Balmoral Show. Mayo. This bull is very highly sought after among pedigree Limousin breeders, highly regarding as a sire of quality Limousin cattle. Like Bavardage he is no longer commercially available so this is a rare opportunity to get your hands on a straw from the bull.

5 straws of the Limousin bull Limpide (AI code LM4110). Stock bull at Frank Buckley’s Mistic Limousin herd Limpide was imported from France for his maternal outcross pedigree. An impressive bull he has proven to be a very consistent breeder, in particular breeding exceptional Limousin females. A real “Breeders bull”, his progeny are very much admired by visitors, with one of his daughters Mistic Mercedes claiming the accolade of ‘Heifer of the Year’ in the 2019 Cork Limousin Herds competition. Limpide boast one of the highest Terminal Index figures available at €180 and is also 4 stars for Replacement Index and 5 stars for daughter milk.
