The long journey from Donegal to Cappamore paid dividends for Nick Friel when his exceptional Elite Forever Brill (TVR) daughter claimed the top spot in the coveted Breeding Heifer of the Year.

An outstanding lineup of Limousin cross heifers were presented to judge TJ Duffy who after much deliberation picked his champion. The standard of heifers in the class was immense and are a credit to their breeders and the Limousin breed.

TJ hails from Westport in county Mayo and is a well know Limousin breeder. At the premier sale in March one of his homebred bulls – Lanmore Neputune – scooped the blue rosette in his class and sold for one of the top prices in what was a excellent show and sale.
