During Beef Expo The Young Limousin Breeders ran the Anglo Irish Stock Judging Competition. This was a very high profile and prestigious international event involving teams from Northern Ireland, England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
The competition itself is divided into three sections
- Stock Judging
- Justification for placings
- Showing
After some fierce competition and excellent displays the prestigious team event was won by Northern Ireland represented by William McElroy, Kim Nicholsan Steele and Gary Hume. The best individual trophy went to Kim Nicholson Steele.

This years hosts were the Irish Limousin Cattle Society with excellently organized by Michael Gunn and James Wycherley. Illustrating the importance of the event was attended by Mr James Cooper UK YMA President and Mr Rob Curtin UK YMA Chairman.
The competition was judged by Paul Boal and Richard O’Beirne ably assisted by Brian McElroy and Rob Curtin
