The North Clare Show held in Corofin had a very successful show of Limousins on Saturday last. 23 exhibits competed in six classes under the eye of Michael Gunn from Elphin Co. Roscommon. Michael also judged the YMA competition where a team of three was selected to represent Clare in the All-Ireland YMA finals in Mohill on August 21st. The competition was keenly contested.  Enda o Gorman from Lahinch finished in first place followed by Seán Moroney from Corofin in second place and Andrew McInerney from Newmarket-On-Fergus in third place. The forth team member has yet to be picked as there was not enough participants within the correct age bracket (12-25) present on the day.

Also on the day a young handlers class took place. Rachel Moloney finished in first place, Enda O’Gorman in second place, Seán Moroney in third place, Andrew McInerney in fourth place and Daniel Moloney in fifth place.

John McInermey from Newmarket-On-Fergus took champion limousin with Drummin Franz ET by Fieldsons Alfy. He was presented with the Mickey Shannon perpetual memorial cup by John Shannon.  The Reserve champion was exhibited by Noel Fennessy. He was a son of Sympa.

Donal Moloney took top points in the male of the year class with Ardnacrusha Forever ET by Ronick Hawk.

There were no entries in the female section.
