The North West Limousin Club are planning a trip to the Royal Welsh Show on July 19th. The trip will also include visits to two top Limousin herds. The flights are arranged on a group booking basis from Knock to Birmingham. We have provisionally booked 50 seats on the flight and accommodation for 50 in the Premier Inn in Hereford. We also have a coach arranged in the UK to bring us on our travels. The trip will cost €200. This includes return flights, all coach travel and two nights accommodation.  Due to high demand and limited places we need payment in full by February 19th. Seats will be allocated in order of money received.

The first herd that we plan to visit is the Christine Williams owned Wilodge Herd. This is one of the best herds in the UK. Regularly topping the Carlisle sales and show rings. The AI  (available in Ireland) sires Vantastic Tonka and Cerebus  were both bred by Christine Williams.   Wilodge will be showing at the Welsh show and we have a provisional agreement to visit if the owner is available on the Sunday evening. This will be confirmed closer to the travel date.

Our next visit will be to the Dinmore Herd of Paul Dawes. Herd manager Richard Bartle has agreed to show us around on the Tuesday morning. The Dinmore stock bull is Wilodge Tonka and we will be able to see some of his progeny.  Dinmore is a very successful herd both at sales and on the show circuit. Richard has judged the Premier sale at Roscrea in the past.

The Royal Welsh Show is the biggest Limousin show in Britain with over 120 exhibits last year. The class judging takes place on the Monday. Attendance at the show exceeds 200,000 visitors over the four days.

                             Coach transfer to Wilodge Herd arriving 6.00pm approx
