The Irish Limousin Cattle Society are pleased to announce the appointment of our new Breed Development Officer - Mr Paul Sykes. A well-known Limousin breeder since 1984, Paul has a vast knowledge of the Limousin breed and it breeders in Ireland and Europe. He was founder member of the North West Limousin club where he was chairman on three occasions and he has the distinction of judging major Limousin events in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Pauls initial responsibilities will be to oversee the field based services of the society including services to new members, breeding advice and herd inspections. Paul arrives at a time when the Limousin breed continues to expand and grow in Ireland.
Recent CMMS statistics show the Limousin breed has cemented its position as the Number 1 Suckler Dam, Number 1 Beef Breed in AI.
